Yves Rossy "JetMan"

From ancient times people desired to fly like birds. Through centuries  a lot of people struggled to construct a flying machine which would make that possible. Aviator Yves Rossy known as «JetMan» made the ancient dream of humans come true. In 2008 he built special wings on jet engines and successfully flied over English Channel. Rossi had no intention to stop. In 2009 he tried to overcome Gibraltar channel starting from Spain to Morocco but he failed. Rossy fell into the sea, where he was picked up by the coastguard.

Recently the Swiss flew over the magnificent Grand Canyon. At first Arizona State Governance of Aviation refused to give permission for the flight, but Rossy’s persistence won. Former military started jumping from a helicopter on 2400 meters high. He soared over the Canyon for 8 minutes on 300 km/h and finished the flight safely landing on a parachute. Everything occurred in eyes of many fans. Though «JetMan» is very popular he is not seeking a glory.
“I just enjoy the feeling of the flight” – said Rossy.
