Surb Astvatzatzin church of Hacarat

In the Hatsarat village of the Gegharkunik district, there is a vaulted cruciform of St.Astvatzatzin church, a small construction dating back to the VIIc., made with shaved grayish tuff. Close to the St.Astvatzatzin church is St.Grigor basilica (19c.). To the south of the village there is a chapel and a cemetery with a lot and cross-stones preserved inside (the oldest from 1218). Three to four km to the west from Hatsarat, near the road to Tzaghkashen, there is a territory of the former ancient settlements.
