From the ancient times Sevanavank has been a famous spiritual and a cultural centre. In medieval Armenia it was also a prominent military base, which saw a lot of crucial battles.
Mount Artanish is located on the lake Sevan same named peninsular. Climbing to the top quite easily you will see the whole beauty of the lake and the Geghama mountains surrounding it.
